Launched to provide a flexible and modern approach to Interior Design. The design studio is based in Aberdeen and offers residential and commercial design interior services. Buchanan McKenzie Interiors is committed to creating spaces that put the clients needs at the forefront of the design.
Initial Appointment
We will start with an initial video call to discuss the requirements of your project. As part of a free initial consultation, Mhairi can visit you and the upcoming project if based in Aberdeen City or Aberdeenshire.
During this initial consultation we can discuss in detail the services offered, and which services would be best for your needs. A quote will then be provided based on the project requirements.
brief
To create a detailed design brief we will have an in depth meeting where measuring can also take place. We will put your requirements at the forefront of the design and process. Consulting with you throughout, discussing your design requirements, style, and preferences to inspire the concept.
A detailed brief is created following in depth meetings with you, where the spaces will be measured. This will form the basis upon which the full design is built. You will have the opportunity to provide your inspirations and influences- your creative input is always welcomed!
Concept
After confirming the brief, we will work on and then provide a concept plan. You will be consulted throughout this process to ensure that all aspects of style and space are considered.
A concept presentation will be arranged virtually or in person. The presentation will include scaled 2D and 3D rendered drawings, concept visuals, floor plans, and sample trays.
This process is to curate and present the vision for your project.
detail & development
We adjust the plans as required from the concept meetings, and progress onto final development. Here is where your project is turned from ideas on a page into a personalised blueprint ready for construction! You then have the choice as to what to do with it:
You can opt to take the finished designs and manage the project yourself. You will be provided with a curated pack including final presentations, including scaled 2D and 3D rendered drawings, concept visuals, floor plans, and sample trays. With the final presentation we will provide you with detailed buying lists including furnishing, fixtures, and equipment. We will also include details of recommended and trusted suppliers, and tradespersons for your project.
Alternatively you can opt to appoint us to manage the realisation of your space. We will take the design we have produced together and work with suppliers and tradespersons to make it all come together for you.
project manegment
On a project management basis, we will work with you to procure supplies for the project. We will co-ordinate the installation of the designs by consulting with trusted suppliers, and contractors. Site visits, and progress meetings will be arranged to ensure the project is delivered on time and to spec. The project can be finalised with a styling service.
